Professional Training Center of Maritime Economy has been
in existence since 1958 as Government Department of Sailing.
It has been created in order to fulfil such needs as obligatory
training and development of professional skills of sailing
crews and workers of Maritime Economy Establishments, Among
them ports, shipyards and forwarding companies.
The range of Center's activity included establishments of
Government Department from the city of Kołobrzeg to the Hel
Penisula and Krynica Morska. The Center has been managed by
Teodozja Karbowiak .M.E since 1980.
In 1990 Ministry of National Education became a founder's
organ of the Center. In 1995 it was joined by son Paweł Karbowiak
M.E. a graduate from Gdańsk Institute of Technology who is
in possession of second class ship's engineer certificate
as well as a diploma of Diving Works Manager.
The Center possesses Maritime Office certificate
and ISO cartificate issued by Polish
Ship's Register accepted by Polish Certificate Research Center.
